Mechanical Designer with extensive experience in Offshore Oil & Gas and FPSO Topside Projects. It is considered as advantage to have experience in handling machinery design activities during all design phases of Engineering including FEED, Detail Engineering, Production Engineering, Material Handling arrangement etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Prepare Engineering drawings, 3D Model, details, sections, charts and similar documents from rough sketches and specifications as directed by Design Engineers.

·         Prepare detailed production design Equipment/Piping layouts and HVAC ducting layouts including 3D models for Marine Machinery arrangement, FPSO Topside modules, and other Oil and Gas platforms.

·         Generate production fabrication and installation drawings for HVAC ducts and supports.

·         Prepare Ducting and Instrumentation Diagrams

·         Carry out material handling studies.

·         Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.

·         Inspect on-board vessel or assemblies for collecting design inputs, verification or as built drawings.

·         Technical site support for assisting production trades during the fabrication stage.

·         Updating the weight reports and BOM

·         Assist Engineers in reviewing the vendor documents with regards to availability of necessary inputs for detail/production engineering.

KEY COMPETENCIES

·         Should be competent in both manual drawing skills as wells as computer-based application, such as automated computer assisted drafting (CAD).

·         Thorough knowledge in visualizing equipment General Arrangements (GA) and creating 3D views from GA.

·         Ability to generate complete discipline drawings with Engineer''s supervision.

·         Knowledge of basic installation details for mechanical equipment. Experience in preparing equipment rigging drawings and material handling arrangements.

·         Proficient with software such as PDMS, AVEVA E3D, Cadmatic 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, PDF, Microsoft office packages

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Draughtsman Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. It is desirable to have bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

·         Minimum of 7+ years relevant experience in shipyard, offshore / Oil & Gas industry in design office.
