Overview: The position involves working in an office environment with occasional
visits to shipyards or offshore facilities to coordinate with project teams or
verify designs in the field with the marine and offshore industry. Incumbent
shall be responsible for creating detailed design plans and 3D models for
shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and related systems using CADMATIC software
ensuring the delivery of precise technical drawings and contributes to the
successful execution of engineering projects by collaborating with
multidisciplinary teams.
Experience: 2
to 5 years
Qualification: Degree or diploma in
Mechanical/Marine/Structural Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Modelling: Create and develop detailed 3D models and 2D
drawings for structural, piping, electrical, and HVAC systems using CADMATIC
software.
Incorporate project specifications, class
requirements, and industry standards into designs.
Project
Collaboration: Work closely with
engineers, naval architects, and other stakeholders to integrate designs into
overall project plans.
Participate in design reviews,
ensuring alignment with project objectives and resolving potential conflicts.
Documentation and Reporting: Generate accurate technical drawings, assembly
instructions, and material specifications for fabrication and installation.
Maintain documentation and
version control for all design deliverables.
Quality Assurance: Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality
standards specific to the marine and offshore industry.
Conduct checks and reviews
to identify and resolve discrepancies or design issues.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in CADMATIC tools and
best practices in marine and offshore design.
Contribute to improving
design workflows and processes.
Qualifications and
Skills:

Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Marine/Structural
Engineering

Proficiency in CADMATIC software for 3D modelling and
drafting.

Strong understanding of industry standards and
classification society requirements of Ocean-going/Naval vessel (IMO, SOLAS,
MARPOL, IACS Class rules)

Experience in marine or offshore design, including
knowledge of shipbuilding or offshore platform construction.
