The incumbent must have extensive experience in the design and analysis of offshore
structures, including jackets, topsides, and other fixed platforms.
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as StaadPro, SACS, and
Ansys is highly desirable.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for offshore
structures, including jackets, topsides, and other fixed platforms.
- Conduct strength, fatigue, and stability analyses
for offshore structures in compliance with industry standards (API, DNV,
ISO, etc.).
- Utilize software tools such as StaadPro, SACS,
and Ansys for modeling, simulation, and structural verification.
- Prepare design reports, technical documentation,
and specifications for offshore projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including
naval architects, pipeline engineers, and project managers, to ensure
integrated solutions.
- Provide technical support during fabrication,
installation, and inspection phases.
- Ensure designs adhere to project specifications,
safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in technical reviews and risk
assessments.
- Provide engineering support for modifications,
upgrades, and life-extension assessments of existing offshore structures
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Graduate in Engineering or equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years
of experience in offshore structural engineering.
- Proficiency in StaadPro, SACS, and Ansys for
structural analysis and design.
- Understanding of fabrication, welding, and offshore
installation methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work
in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience working on EPC projects and liaising
with clients and third-party verification bodies is a plus.
